New Basic Referee Training Course – West London
I am writing to you as secretary of one of our registered clubs to let you know that we have set up a new basic referees training course to run in April. If you know of any of your club members (or anyone else!) who might be interested in becoming a football referee please let them know about our refereeing course and encourage them to sign up ! Further information about referees training is available Here.
The course will take place at Old Actonians Sports Association which is near Gunnersbury Park and Acton. The course includes practical / demonstration sessions plus classroom / theory sessions which will all take place at the same venue.
The course timetable is as follows:
Sunday 3rd April 2016 10.00am - 4.00pm Unit 2 : Practical TrainingLL
Thursday 7th April 2016 7.00pm - 10.00pm Unit 3: Fouls and Misconduct
Sunday 10th April 2016 10.00am - 4.00pm Unit 4: Practical Training and Evaluation
There is also a Safeguarding Children Workshop on Thursday 31st March, 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm, which all candidates aged 16 and upwards will need to attend.

FA YOUTH AWARD MODULE 1 – APRIL / MAY 2016
FA Youth Award Module 1 announced for April and May 2016!
The module 1 looks at developing the environment for your players and is an excellent course to attend for those looking to gain new knowledge.
Day 1 and 2: Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th April 2016 (9am-5pm)
Day 3 and 4: Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th May 2016 (9am-5pm)
Venue: East Barnet Old Grammarians FC, Alan Drive, Barnet, Herts EN5 2PU
The usual cost of the course is £125. However, for this course we are offering bursaries of £50 per candidate, bringing the cost to just £75.
To enrol on the course, candidates must:
* Hold a minimum of the Level 1 Award in Coaching Football
* Hold an in-date FA Emergency Aid certificate (within three years)
* Hold an in-date FA Safeguarding Children certificate (within three years)
* Be a member of the FA Licensed Coaches Club (recommended)
(We can work with candidates to bring their qualifications up-to-date but they must have a coaching qualification).
